Terms of use

Alethic is an informational service. It aggregates and displays public data about world events with explicit evidence grades. It is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind.

Not for life-safety decisions. Event data can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. Do not rely on this service for emergency response, aviation, navigation, or any decision where errors cause harm — use official authoritative channels.

Honest signal. Verified events link the independent newsrooms the auditor matched; older events, whose links were not retained, are marked and carry no count. The ambient layer is clearly labeled lower-confidence. Neither is a guarantee of accuracy — the point is that you can inspect the basis yourself.

Acceptable use. Don't abuse the API, scrape at disruptive rates, or misrepresent the service's output as authoritative certification of events.

Data licenses. Displayed data comes from the sources listed on data & licenses, under their respective terms.
